Gippsland Physiotherapy Group (GPG) Leongatha provides high-quality physiotherapy and clinical Pilates services to those seeking treatment for any injury or condition.

GPG Leongatha is located conveniently at 49 Bair Street in the centre of town. Our team at Leongatha are committed to providing personalised injury or condition treatment plans by using evidence-based and effective approaches so you can get the care you need. The following services are available:

You do not need a referral to visit one of our physiotherapists in Bairnsdale (except for DVA and Medicare EPC). It is claimable on Private Health Insurance (if covered as an extra), with rates kept as minimal as possible. We also provide referrals for all Worksafe and CTP injuries at no extra costs.

We are dedicated to providing the highest quality of care for our patients, ensuring their complete maintenance, recovery and reducing the risk of recurrence. Our staff are always happy to help with any questions or concerns you might have before or after an appointment.

Meet the Team

Rob

Rob Brownlow

Director/Physiotherapist

Rob obtained his Bachelor of Physiotherapy from Charles Sturt University in Orange, NSW. Rob relocated from Newcastle after being offered a position with Gippsland Physiotherapy Group, and is currently dividing his time between our Traralgon and Leongatha practices.

Rob has extensive experience in Sports and Musculoskeletal conditions, as well as injuries resulting from severe trauma. Rob has been involved as a Physiotherapist at many National and International sports events including the 2017-2020 Gymnastics World Cup, 2019 Gymnastics National Championships, 2019 Gymnastics Victoria Championships, 2018 Commonwealth GamesIRONMAN Asia-Pacific Championships and the Australian Country Junior Basketball Championships. He has also worked for multiple sporting organisations including the Women’s VFL, International Basketball Federation – Oceania Region, NSW Basketball, VIC Netball and VIC Softball.

Rob’s further qualifications include Sports Level 1 & 2, Dry Needling, Clinical Pilates, Drug and Alcohol Testing and Workplace Assessments. Rob enjoys mentoring new graduate physiotherapists as part of his role and regularly educates physiotherapy students seeking further experience.

Rob enjoys playing tennis and walking his border collies down by the beach. He is an avid supporter of the Melbourne Football ClubMelbourne Storm and the Wallabies.

Tanya

Tanya Thorson

Physiotherapist

Tanya completed her Bachelor of Physiotherapy Degree at the Lincoln School of Health Sciences of Latrobe University.

She currently offers Physiotherapy Services part-time at the Leongatha practice; she has a post-graduate certificate in incontinence and pelvic floor rehabilitation and has experience in assessing and treating women and men with continence and pelvic floor issues.

Tanya enjoys a country lifestyle, raising her family in the South Gippsland Region.

Katie Taylor

Physiotherapist

Katie graduated from the University of Otago, Auckland, Zealand with her Bachelor of Physiotherapy.

Katie's key interests are sports and musculoskeletal issues, as well as learning more about dry needling and women's health. Katie's goal is to help her clients regain their mobility and independence while also supporting them in identifying the source of their injury or condition and providing her client with a program to help them achieve their goals.

Katie enjoys playing many sports and doing outdoor activities including hockey, surfing and trail running. She is excited to explore what the Gippsland region has to offer.

Anna Lorch

Physiotherapist

Anna graduated from the Auckland University of Technology, New Zealand with her Bachelor of Health Science (Physiotherapy).

Anna has a passion for helping people of all ages who have an injury/condition or clients who are looking to live a healthier lifestyle. Anna’s interests lay in women’s health physiotherapy, Pilates, and paediatrics.

She is a kiwi girl at heart,but has always wanted to live in Australia since volunteering in the gold coast at 17 years old. Anna will find any excuse to go to the beach,rain or shine,and loves to spend her spare time on various creative hobbies.

Jaymee Mendoza

Physiotherapist

Jaymee graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy, from the University of the City of Manila, and is Physical Therapist Registered in the Philippines.

Jaymee has an interest in outpatient orthopaedic, pre- and post-surgical rehabilitation, manual therapy and exercise physiotherapy. Her goal as a physiotherapist is to maximize each patient’s capacity through individualized treatment programs for restoration of function, and to prioritize the goals they have and help them achieve them.

Jaymee has so many hobbies that she actually loses time just deciding what she wants to do for the day, although they’re mostly indoor ones like playing video games, reading books, and watching lots of series and shows. Jaymee also loves going on long drives and getting to new places, just traveling, and experiencing different cultures and eating good food.
