Rob Brownlow (Director) – Physiotherapist
Rob obtained his Bachelor of Physiotherapy from Charles Sturt University in Orange, NSW. Rob relocated from Newcastle since being offered a position with Gippsland Physiotherapy Group, working in both our Leongatha and Wonthaggi Practices.
Rob has extensive experience in Sports and Musculoskeletal conditions; working as a Physiotherapist at many National and International sports events including the 2018 Commonwealth Games, 2017-2018 Gymnastics World Cup, IRONMAN Asia-Pacific Championships and the Australian Country Junior Basketball Championships. He has also worked for multiple sporting organisations including the Women’s VFL International Basketball Federation – Oceania Region, NSW Basketball, VIC Netball and VIC Softball.
Rob’s further qualifications include Sports Level 1 & 2, Dry Needling, Clinical Pilates, Drug and Alcohol Testing and Workplace Assessments. Rob enjoys mentoring new graduate physiotherapists as part of his role and regularly educates physiotherapy students seeking further experience.
Rob enjoys playing tennis and walking his border collies down by the beach. He is an avid supporter of the Melbourne Football Club, Melbourne Storm and the Wallabies.
William Lenehan – Physiotherapist
William has a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from Charles Sturt University in Albury.
He grew up along the coast in South West Victoria, where he enjoys keeping fit, surfing, playing AFL and reading.
William has special interests in musculoskeletal and sporting injuries rehabilitation.
Chris Tierney – Physiotherapist
Chris has a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. He then went on to study at the University of Melbourne where he received his Doctorate of Physiotherapy. His particular interests are the neurointergration of movement, chronic pain management, and sports rehabilitation. He is a tri-citizen (Canadian, American and Australian) who enjoys surfing, snowboarding, photography and puns. What do you call a fake noodle?… An Impasta.
Alanna Hickey – Physiotherapist
Alanna graduated from La Trobe University in Bundoora with a Bachelor of Health Sciences and Masters of Physiotherapy. She has recently relocated to Gippsland following working at a private practice on the Mornington Peninsula. Alanna previously also worked as the head physiotherapist for a local Women’s and Men’s football (AFL) team in this region. She is also currently completing research with La Trobe University looking at Medial Tibial Stress Syndrome.
Alanna also has a special interest in women’s health and Clinical Pilates, and has done further study in these areas. Alanna loves incorporating Clinical Pilates into her clients rehabilitation, as she believes it is an effective and fun way to achieve their goals!
Tanya Thorson – Physiotherapist
Tanya completed her Bachelor of Physiotherapy Degree at the Lincoln School of Health Sciences of Latrobe University.
Tanya enjoys a country lifestyle, raising her family in the South Gippsland Region. She currently offers Physiotherapy Services part time at the Leongatha Practice.
Ashleigh Eddy – Reception
Ashleigh is currently undertaking a Business Administration Traineeship, providing reception and administration support. She strives to provide exceptional, friendly customer service as well as helping people with their enquiries. She enjoys spending a lot of time at the beach and volunteering as a Surf Life Saver during the summer period.
