Frazer Ryan (Director) from our Traralgon practice recently attended the 2017 World Congress of Physical Therapy in South Africa. Frazer was invited to present on the ‘world stage’ to showcase the findings of his recently completed honours research project in front of fellow physiotherapists and researchers from around the globe.
The project itself investigated the effect of work-related, biomedical and lifestyle factors on the health of Australian mining employees: and the work was acknowledged for deepening our understanding of the health effects of fly-in fly-out (FIFO) working arrangements in Australia.
In addition to being recognised as an international guest speaker at one of the largest physiotherapy research platforms, Frazer is also well on the way to becoming a published author in the field of occupational and public health. Frazer is hopeful to continue his research into the health of the Australian working population whilst using his role as a clinical practitioner to ensure injured employees get the holistic rehabilitation they require at an individual level.
